One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.  a) On 1/11/2019 an employee was in the process of trying to clear a jam on a 519 Threader Machine (model #1053), the employee reached into the machine, grabbed the jammed pipe, during this process the machine fed another steel pipe catching the employee's right hand between the two pipes resulting in an amputation.     Consolidated Metal Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1171985, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on October 21, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1028 Depot St. Cincinnati, OH. 45204
