29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: a) Upper Packaging Metal Detection Belt and Roller: On or about January 10, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employee to caught in hazards when employee was unjamming plastic bags from conveyor and roller system. The employer did not give employee authorized employee LOTO training.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by ingoing nip points: a) Upper Packaging Metal Detection Belt: On or about February 17, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to ingoing nip points created by unguarded rollers on conveyor and at the transition point between two conveyors. The J & J Snack Foods Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1020182, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 11, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at the 361 Benigno Blvd., Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
