OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from falling metal storage racks that were not secured to the warehouse floor:    On or about February 28, 2019, at the Resilux America, LLC, building 265 warehouse:    Employees loading and unloading metal storage racks with machine molds and other materials were exposed to struck-by hazards when the employer did not secure the metal storage racks to the warehouse floor.     Among other possible methods to abate this violation, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to attach the metal storage racks to the warehouse floor using base plates and anchor bolts.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed:    On or about February 28, 2019, at the 420 Sidel building of Resilux America, LLC:      a) Employees operating the Sidel BG-2 dumper box were exposed to electrical shock hazards of approximately 400 volts when the employer did not cover an opening on top of the connect/disconnect lever box that had exposed electrical conductors.       b) Employees operating the Sidel BG-3 SBP 4/6 machine were exposed to electrical shock hazards of approximately 480 volts when the employer did not cover two openings with exposed electrical conductors on the power cabinet. RESILUX AMERICA, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1284863, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/12/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 265 John Brooks RD in Pendergrass, GA 30567.      No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
