29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge:        a) On or about March 15, 2019, employees were exposed to fall hazards where a stairway from the garage exterior of the building to the first interior level was not equipped with a stair rail system along its unprotected sides or edges.        No abatement certification required for this violation.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):                 a) On or about March 15, 2019, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 25 feet from second story top plates while performing carpentry work without fall protection.          b) On or about March 15, 2019, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 13 feet from a second story deck while performing carpentry work without fall protection.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:                a) On or about March 15, 2019, employees were exposed to eye injury while operating nail guns without the benefit of eye protection.   Maragos Construction, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1080505, citation 1, item 2, and was affirmed as a final order on October 13, 2015, with respect to a worksite located at 111 N. Lincoln Ave., Park Ridge, Illinois.                  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
