29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  The employer does not protect each employee from fall hazards while engaged in framing work at elevations at approximately 10 feet above the ground by use of guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  a) On January 30, 2014, employees engaged in framing work were not protected from fall hazards while working at an elevation at approximately 10 feet above the ground.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:  a) On January 30, 2024, employees are exposed to eye injury while operating pneumatic nail guns without eye protection during framing work.  Maragos Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1613736, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 24, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1820 N Howe St., Chicago, IL 60614.  Maragos Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1385343, citation number 3, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 705 N. Elmhurst Rd. Prospect Heights, Illinois 60070.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
