29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: At the residential construction site located at 4500 NE 67th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Framers were observed accessing and egressing the roof by way of a portable ladder that did not extend 3 feet past landing. Framers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 12 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): At the residential construction site located at 4500 NE 67th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Framers were observed installing materials and working at height. Framers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 20 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection. Ron Nelson Framing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1148918, citation number 1, item 1 number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/15/16, with respect to a workplace located at4222 NE 67th Terrace Kansas City, MO 64119.
