29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On 13 June 2019, at a worksite located at 28w672 Mount St. Warrenville, IL.60555, employees who were in the process of framing a residential structure were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 12 feet. All employees observed were not wearing fall protection devices. No other form of fall protection was being utilized during this work activity. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about 13 June 2019, at a worksite located at 28w672 Mount St. Warrenville, IL. 60555, employees were observed working at heights on a residential structure in excess of 12 feet, were not trained adequately to recognize the hazard of falling and the steps to mitigate those hazards. This exposed employees to a fall hazard. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
