29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   location: along Brown St. on or about: 8/30/19  a) An employee, operating a concrete pump truck, was not using any means of fall protection. The employee was exposed to a fall of between 18 to 27 feet.    NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.   The ASF Construction and Excavation Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1156975, citation number 2, item number 1A and was affirmed as a final order on 7/21/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 35 Valley Ave., Elmsford, NY 10523.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  location: throughout site on or about: 8/30/19  a) An employee, exposed to a fall hazard while operating a concrete pump truck, was not provided with fall protection training.   NOTE: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.   The ASF Construction and Excavation Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.503(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1156975, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/21/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 35 Valley Ave., Elmsford, NY 10523.
