29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s) a) Capital City Group, Inc. located at 230 E Long street Columbus, OH, 43215: On and preceding December 10, 2019, the employer did not ensure that frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment were made by a competent person. One non-managerial crane operator working at the site was exposed to potential hazards which include but are not limited to struck-by hazards, tripping and fall hazards as he traveled throughout the site operating the crane using a portable remote. The condition exposed the employee to the hazards as a result of frequent and regular inspections not being performed and corrected by a competent person. Capital City Group, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent 29 CFR 1926.(20)(b)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1425895, citation number 1, Item 1, issued August 28, 2019 and became a final order on October 10, 2019 with respect to a workplace located at 230 E Long Street, Columbus, OH 43215.
