Equipment found damaged or defective shall not be used until repaired. a) Rojas Brothers Construction LLC, at a jobsite located at Woodland Sky Drive, Lot 123, Pataskala, Ohio 43062: On and/or preceding July 1, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from electrical contact while engaged in residential construction activities by inspecting cords and equipment connected by cords before each day's use. Employees were using damaged cords, cords with the ground prong missing, and cords without strain relief, thereby exposing employees to 125 volt electrical contact hazards.

Framers were using a red/black extension cord with the ground prong missing from the male end of a cord at the temporary electrical panel, used to provide power to a distribution block, which exposed the employees to a 125 volt electrical contact hazard. b) Rojas Brothers Construction LLC, at a jobsite located at Woodland Sky Drive, Lot 123, Pataskala, Ohio 43062: On and/or preceding July 1, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees who used extension cords were protected from electrical contact hazards. Framers were using a Orange/black extension cord with the ground prong missing from the male end of the cord, used to provide power to a Circular saw, which exposed the employees to a 125 volt electrical contact hazard. c) Rojas Brothers Construction LLC, at a jobsite located at Woodland Sky Drive, Lot 123, Pataskala, Ohio 43062: On and/or preceding July 1, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees who used extension cords were protected from electrical contact hazards.
