29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite located at 1300 South 19th Street, Philadelphia: The employer did not ensure that the employees were protected from falls. Employees were working on the edge of the roof approximately 40 feet above the ground level; thus exposing employees to fall hazards. Condition was observed on or about 18 AUG 2020.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Jobsite located at 1300 South 19th Street, Philadelphia: The employer did not provide training to employees working on a roof. Employees were engaged in roofing activities and working on the edge of a roof, approximately 40 feet above the ground level. Employees were not trained how to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate hazards associated with working on a roof. Condition was observed on or about 18 AUG 2020.
