The Employer did not provide the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification of abatement as required for Citation #1, Items #1 & #2 issued February 25, 2021.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  At jobsite located at 8034-8036 E. 34th CT. S. Wichita KS, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 20 feet from the roof to the ground in that fall protection was not utilized.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  At the jobsite 8034-8036 E. 34th CT. S. Wichita KS, employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to falls from approximately 20 feet, in that the aluminum ladder used to access the roof did not extend 3 feet from the eave of the roof.
