29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2):Poles shall be secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary. When the pump jack has to pass bracing already installed, an additional brace shall be installed approximately 4 feet (1.2 m) above the brace to be passed, and shall be left in place until the pump jack has been moved and the original brace reinstalled. a. 3456 US-22 W., Branchburg, NJ - Fox Hollow at Branchburg - Building 6 The employer did not ensure bottom bracing was installed on the pump jack scaffolds. Employees engaged in residential siding activities worked from Alum-A-Pole pump jack scaffolds that were not fully braced at the bottoms, which would ensure scaffold stability from kick out as the scaffold platforms were adjusted to elevation. Violation observed on or about April 28, 2021
