29 CFR 1926.852(a): No material shall be dropped to any point lying outside the exterior walls of the structure unless the area is effectively protected. a) On or about 06/22/21, at the former Medina High School, under going renovation and located at 324 Catherine Street, Medina, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of a materials chute during the disposal of roofing materials. Roofing materials and debris were being dropped into a dumpster exceeding 20 feet. Employees working near the waste dumpster were exposed to overhead fall hazards. A chute was not installed to effectively protect the area around the disposal dumpster. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
