29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employee(s) working from an aerial lift were climbing on the edge of the basket: a.730 Central St., Plainfield, NJ - Charles and Anna Booker School The employer did not ensure that employees did not climb the basket rails as a means of access/egress from aerial lift. Employees engaged in steel erection activities climbed the rails of a JLG, 660S aerial lift as a means of egress while they transitioned from the steel structure to the boom basket. Violation observed on or about August 27, 2021 Kenvil United Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1423780, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on April 1, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1200 1st Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
