29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about November 5, 2021, the employer did not guard the elevator screw on the rewind of Laminator #83 (DCM USIMECA) exposing employees to caught in hazards while changing out rolls. b. On or about April 26, 2022, the employer did not guard the elevator screw on the rewind of Laminator #47 (DCM USIMECA) exposing employees to caught in hazards while changing out rolls. c. On or about April 26, 2022, the employer did not guard the elevator screw on the rewind of Laminator #59 (DCM USIMECA) exposing employees to caught in hazards while changing out rolls. d. On or about April 26, 2022, the employer did not guard the elevator screw on the rewind of Laminator #77 (DCM USIMECA) exposing employees to caught in hazards while changing out rolls.
