29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a: Employees installing roofing materials at elevations of six-foot or more above the ground are not being protected by a fall protection system: The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on May 19, 2022, when two employees installing roofing materials on a 5:12 and 6:12 pitched roof of three-story residence located at 16163 Ranch Road in Jacksonville, Florida 32218, were exposed to the hazard of a 6 to 34-foot fall, in that their individual rope grabs were not properly adjusted on their life lines in a manner that would have restrained them from falling from the roof. ARCI LTD was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1511968 Citation number 1, Item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/9/2021 with respect to a workplace located at 901 Bertha Palmer Blvd., Temple Terrace, Florida 33617. ARCI LTD was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1377045, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/21/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1300 CR 210, Saint Johns, Florida 32259.
