Employees performing quality checks on the hoses were exposed to injuries including lacerations due to the lack of proper PPE selection.

Sandusky St. Bellefontaine, Ohio: The employer failed to ensure protect employees from caught in points of the rotating (spinning ) spool and the wrapped hose while spooling the finished hose product. Employees tasked with spooling hose onto the spool at the end of extruder line #8 were exposed to these caught in hazards. HBD/Thermoid, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1533600, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 27, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1301 W. Sandusky Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio, 43311.
