South corner of customer parking lot: Employees were working on concrete form work in an unprotected excavation that was approximately 8.5 feet deep and were not protected from cave-ins. Employees were exposed to crushed-by and struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: South corner of customer parking lot: Inside the 8.5 foot deep excavation, there were two uncapped rebars. Employees were exposed to impalement hazards. The Giant Construction Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.701 (b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1538906, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/09/21, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 7128-R3 in Songsong Hill Subdivision, Yigo, Guam, 96929.
