Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards.

29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section.   Along the cement curb: A Skil angle grinder was used to smooth cement without a guard. Employees were exposed to laceration hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section.  Along the cement curb: An employee used a Skil grinder to smooth concrete without any control measures implemented from Table 1-Specified Exposure Control Methods When Working with Materials Containing Crystalline Silica. Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards.

Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards.
