29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(ii): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards, based on the mechanical strength and durability, including, for parts designed to enclose and protect other equipment, the adequacy of the protection thus provided: a. Western Foundries, Inc., 100 S Martin St, Longmont, CO 80501: on October 26, 2022, the Dependable Shell Core Machine Model 400 SA was missing a cover on the front of the machine to enclose live parts. This condition exposed employees to electrical shock hazards. b. Western Foundries, Inc., 100 S Martin St, Longmont, CO 80501: on October 26, 2022, the scissor lift was terminal panel was not closed and secured. The condition exposed employees to shock hazards. c. Western Foundries, Inc., 100 S Martin St, Longmont, CO 80501: on October 26, 2022, the Klein Plug Flo Transporter was missing a switch on the front of the machine. The condition exposed employees to shock hazards.

Western Foundries, Inc., 100 S Martin St, Longmont, CO 80501: on October 26, 2022, the employer did not ensure that power strips were used in accordance with its listing and labeling. Power strips used were not rated for industrial use and had equipment plugged into the strip that was not rated for the power strip. The condition exposed employees to shock and fire hazards. b. Western Foundries, Inc., 100 S Martin St, Longmont, CO 80501: on October 26, 2022, the employer did not ensure that flexible cords were used in accordance with its listing and labeling. Flexible cords were hanging and secured not in accordance with there labeling. The condition exposed employees to shock and fire hazards.
