29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Mechanical Shop: on or about 12-07-2022, the employer did not ensure that an appropriate eye wash was available for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes in the event of a chemical splash resulting in an exposure to an eye irritant, such as the "ZEP Heavy-Duty Degreaser and Cleaner", a Category 2A eye irritant. The employer made available two bottles of "Eyesaline" to employees, that were expired since January of 2018, for First-Aid use in the event of a splash and emergency exposure to an irritant chemical to the eyes, which could be aggravate the employee's condition, as the expired solution could be a source of a potential eye infection or irritation.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i): The employer did not compile a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet. a) Mechanical Shop: on or about 12-07-2022, the employer did not compiled a list of all the hazardous chemical, stored or used in the workplace was readily available to all employees when they were in the work area, so the employer could maintain and to update the safety data sheets (SDS) of the chemical inventory and employees could immediately find and access the SDSs in the binder to obtain information on the control methods and protective equipment required to safely use the chemical and, in in the event of a chemical accident, the appropriate first-aid treatment.
