This was most recently documented on January 10, 2023 at the Apex Cabinets facility located at 12900 I Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The employer did not conduct monitoring or exposure assessment on employees whom are exposed to methylene chloride. Exposure to methylene chloride may cause respiratory irritation, skin irritation, eye irritation, and is a suspected carcinogen. Repeated exposure to methylene chloride may cause blood damage and possible allergic reactions. PPE recommended for methylene chloride handling is safety glasses/goggles, protective gloves and clothing, respiratory protection when limits are exceeded, and proper hygiene practices as per the manufacturer.
