29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):   Employees did not use eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:   a)  37 Mezritch Road, New Square, NY:   Employees were engaged in roofing activities using a pneumatic nail gun and the employer did not ensure that eye protection (e.g., safety glasses or equivalent) was used by employees exposed to eye loss/eye injuries due to struck by hazards.  Maestro Contracting Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1578849, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/24/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 101 Wilson Avenue, Spring Valley, NY 10977.  Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
