Wellcrest Ct. Goddard, KS, employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site.  Employees were handling TAMKO Heritage asphalt shingles, Geocel 2300 construction tripolymer sealant, and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin and eye irritation, drowsiness and/or dizziness, nausea and/or vomiting, upper respiratory irritation, and may cause cancer. Additionally, Geocel 2300 construction tripolymer sealant and gasoline, can both act as a fueling agents due to their extreme flammability as a liquid and vapor.
