29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(2)(vi): The employer did not perform additional monitoring when there has been any change in the production process, raw materials, equipment, personnel, work practices, or control methods that may result in new or additional exposures to chromium (VI), or when the employer has any reason to believe that new or additional exposures have occurred. On or about May 9, 2023 the employer failed to sample for Hexavalent Chromium on the CRV Pipe A Comp line after they had replaced one of the raw materials and implemented new control methods for the process . This would change employees' exposure to Hexavalent Chromium produced from the robotic welding operations on the line and could potentially expose employees to higher levels of Hexavalent Chromium and lead to respirable health issues.
