Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems: On May 4, 2023, employees of R Garcia LLC were installing shingles on a residential building located at 32 Sonnet Drive in Wentzville, Missouri. The Owner and employees were working on the roof of the building approximately 9.5 feet above the lower level. The employees did not utilize guardrail systems, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: On May 4, 2023, employees of R Garcia LLC were installing shingles on a residential building located at 32 Sonnet Drive in Wentzville, Missouri. Pneumatic nail guns were being used by three employees who did not utilize eye protection. The employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. R Garcia LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1633953, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/2/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 652 Carlyle Avenue, Belleville, Illinios
