29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer is responsible for requiring the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees: A.) Schultheis Roofing Inc., 2824 W 26th Street, ERIE, PA 16506 , on 6/7/23 and times prior thereto: Employees were working on a flat roof outside of the warning line with no additional fall protection. Employees were exposed to falls of 18-20 feet while performing work including but not limited to putting insulation on the roof. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. IN ADDITION, abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic, or video evidence or abatement or other written records.
