29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) On 09/11/2023, in the control tower in the cabinet spaces beneath the air traffic control work surfaces, power strips were plugged into power strips. The power strips were rated for 15 amps and were plugged into 20-amp outlets. This condition exposed employees to electric shock and fire hazards. The Federal Aviation Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1614260, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 25311 Aero Way Torrance, CA 90505. The Federal Aviation Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1590463, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 6/6/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 9175 Kearney Villa Rd. This condition exposed employees to electric shock and fire hazards.
