29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used. Cross braces were used as a means of access. a. 100 Pine Street Verona, NJ The employer did not ensure safe means of access to scaffold working platforms as employee (s) performing masonry operations from a fabricated frame scaffold were using the cross braces to access the upper working levels, exposing employees to fall hazards of approximately 35 feet. Violation occurred on or about 10/31/2023 Alexandre Paiva Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1565588, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/01/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 829 South Ave. Netherwood Flats Plainfield, NJ 07060
