29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1):The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: On or about January 12, 2024, the employer did not provide each employee with training on the limitations of using gloves (PPE), per 1910.132(f)(1)(iv), while operating a table saw (hand-fed circular ripsaw). The use of gloves while operating a manually fed table saw (hand-fed circular ripsaw) creates potential caught-in hazards from the gloves being pulled into the rotating saw blade and/or workpiece while it was being cut.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(3):Each hand-fed circular ripsaw shall be provided with nonkickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator. They shall be designed to provide adequate holding power for all the thicknesses of materials being cut. On or about January 12, 2024, the employer did not ensure a Jet 10" Tilting XACTA Deluxe, Model JTAS-10DX, Table Saw (hand-fed circular ripsaw) was provided with nonkickback fingers or dogs while employees rip-cut wood boards.
