29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Sun Mountain Lumber, Green Finger Jointer Press Line: On or about January 29, 2024 and at times prior employees were exposed to crushing hazards while working in and around flying saw #1 that did not contain a guard to prevent pinch point hazards. b) Sun Mountain Lumber, Green Finger Jointer Press Line: On or about January 29, 2024 and at times prior employees were exposed to crushing hazards while working in and around flying saw #2 that did not contain a guard to prevent pinch point hazards. c) Sun Mountain Lumber, Green Finger Jointer Press Line: On or about January 29, 2024 and at times prior employees were exposed to amputation hazards while working near the unguarded flying saw #1 in the operator station.
