FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.502(d)(16): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level:   a- Building 8, Bordentown NJ:   A worker applying sheathing onto the exterior surface of a commercial structure's pitched roof trusses, and performing other related activities, was not protected from falling while wearing a full body harness whose attached lanyard's other end was wrapped around an inner web of a wooden roof truss chord and clipped back to itself.    As such, this workers were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 27 feet to the ground surface below. Condition observed and noted on or about 02/08/24.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
