Employers shall select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.  On or about May 7, 2024, employees were exposed to burn hazards while changing propane from forklifts. The employer did not provide all of their employees with hand protection to protect against thermal burns.  Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
