The employer did not provide fall protection training for the exposed employees.

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A personal fall arrest system was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: a) On or about May 9, 2024, at the worksite, Bellevue Estates; Glenwood Avenue and Bunker Hill Way, Syracuse, NY 13207: employees using an aerial lift to access a roof were not protected from fall hazards by use of personal fall arrest systems. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of up to 10 feet. New Zyland Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1718697, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 4/25/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Deforest Ave., East Hanover, NJ 07936.

Employees exposed to falls up to 10 feet. New Zyland Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1718697, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 4/25/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Deforest Ave., East Hanover, NJ 07936.
