29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i):Except as provided elsewhere in this section 29 CFR 1910.28, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the systems described in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): At a facility located at 4000 NE Kimball Drive, Kansas City, MO 64161, employees were exposed to fall hazards of greater than 4 feet while operating the Uniloy 350-R2 blow mold machine designated as line 20 in the facility. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to work from the elevated walkway on top of the machine while the walkway had unprotected sides and edges that led to the next lower level.
