29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a: Employees installing roofing materials at elevations of six-foot or more above the ground are not being protected by a fall protection system: The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on July 30, 2024, when two employees installing roofing materials on a 5:12 steep pitched roof of a residence located at 2382 Mission Oak Place in Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043, were exposed to the hazard of an 8-foot fall, in that they were not wearing personal fall arrest systems that would have prevented or restrained them from falling from the roof.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13):The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step: a: Employees are using the top step of a step ladder: The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on July 30, 2024, when two employees installing roofing materials on a 5:12 steep pitched roof of a residence located at 2382 Mission Oak Place in Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043, were exposed to the hazard of an 8-foot fall, in that they were using the top step of a step ladder to exit the 8 ft roof. M.G. Residential Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1669557, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 25, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 5405 Moret Drive East, Jacksonville, FL 32210. M.G. Residential Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1559113, citation number 1, items number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 15, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2023 Dutton Island Oaks Way, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233.
