29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: (a)Graff Roofing, Inc. at 8404 East Spearfish Court, Sioux Falls, SD 57110: On or about and at times prior to August 26, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the Little Giant Ladder System, Type 1A, M22 used to access an upper roof of the residential home was extended at least three feet above the roofs edge. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards. (b) Graff Roofing, Inc. at 8404 East Spearfish Court, Sioux Falls, SD 57110: On or about and at times prior to August 26, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the Little Giant Ladder System, Type 1A, Model #17 used to access an upper roof of the residential home was extended at least three feet above the roofs edge. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards. (c)Graff Roofing, Inc. at 8404 East Spearfish Court, Sioux Falls, SD 57110: On or about and at times prior to August 26, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the 32 foot Werner extension ladder, Model D1532-2, used to access an upper roof of the residential home was extended at least three feet above the roofs edge. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards.
