Elm St., Westfield, MA: On or about September 4, 2024, the employer did not enforce the use of aprons, chemical resistant clothing, chemical resistant gloves, and chemical resistant boots, as identified in the employer's personal protective equipment (PPE) hazard assessment, for all chemical handlers. A chemical handler received burns to the arms after being splashed with 50-70% nitric acid.
