On or about and prior to October 2, 2024, at the worksite located at 1615 West Arrow St, Marshall, Missouri 65340 employees were exposed to serious fall hazards while conducting material handling activities. Employees were using a portable ladder where the side rails did not extend at least 3 feet past the upper landing surface to access and egress an elevated work surface while rigging precast concrete parts to overhead gantry cranes.

29 CFR  1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:   On or about and prior to October 2, 2024, at the worksite located at 1615 West Arrow St, Marshall, Missouri 65340 employees were exposed to serious fall hazards while conducting material handling activities. Employees were rigging precast concrete parts to overhead gantry cranes at heights greater than 4 feet to the next lower level without having any form of fall protection.

CORESLAB STRUCTURS, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.184(f)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1605590, citation number 1, item number 5a and was affirmed as a final order on 01/26/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1615 W Arrow St, Marshall, MO 65340.
