1926.21(b)(2) The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. On or about October 22, 2025, the employer used two 5/8-inch wire slings in a basket type of hitch that were not rigged to prevent unintentional displacement of a 43-foot steel column.
