29 CFR  1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard: 5.1.6: Eyewashes shall be capable of delivering flushing fluid to the eyes not less than 1.5 liters per minute (0.4 gpm) for 15 minutes. If shut off valves are installed in the supply line for maintenance purposes, provisions shall be made to prevent unauthorized shut off.  Cleaning Room/Supply Storage: On or about November 6, 2024, and at times prior thereto, the employer failed to provide an emergency eye wash station, providing 15 minute flush time, where employees used corrosive chemicals, which potentially exposed employees to corneal or retinal burns.  The Army & Air Force Exchange Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR  1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1630272, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 13, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 10 Sonoma Ave., San Luis Obispo, California, 93405.
