29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:   On or about December 7, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to amputation hazards when working on the Fusion Line due to unguarded ingoing nip points from powered conveyors:  a.  the Outfeed conveyor on the Fusion Line had an ingoing nip point with a 2-inch gap between the drive roller and the metal mesh conveyor belt.   b.  the Outfeed conveyor out of the temper furnace had an ingoing nip point with a 3/4-inch gap between the metal mesh conveyor and the disc drop slide.
