29 CFR  1926.502(d)(16): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level:   a - 41 Sofia Drive, Manalapan NJ:   The company worksite Foreman was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 9 feet 9 inches to the concrete flooring below, while working and walking from the webbing of a residential structure's roof trusses while wearing a full body harness whose connected, lanyard's length and the improperly anchored lanyard to an unrated anchor would not have stopped them from contacting a lower level.  Condition observed on or about 02/05/25.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii):   a - 41 Sofia Drive, Manalapan NJ:   The company worksite Foreman,  wearing a full body harness whose connected, lanyard's length and this lanyard being improperly anchored to an unrated anchor which would not have stopped them from contacting the flooring below had they fallen, was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 9 feet 9 inches while working and walking from the webbing of a residential structure's roof trusses.  The worksite Foreman and their worksite workers had not received fall protection training as specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii).   Condition noted on or about 02/05/25.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
