29 CFR1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Location: 129 Soundview Road Guilford, CT 06437 a) On or about February 11, 2025, employees operating the Waterbury Farrel 3 Stand wire milling line were exposed to ingoing nip points and struck-by hazards while coiled wire under tension was mechanically advanced and formed without safeguarding in use and/or provided. b) On or about February 11, 2025, employees operating the Fenn AMCA International 4 Stand wire milling line were exposed to ingoing nip points and struck-by hazards while wire under tension was mechanically advanced and formed without safeguarding in use and/or provided. REA Magnet Wire Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1619039 citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 24, 2023 with respect to a workplace located at 129 Soundview Rd Guilford, CT.
