29 CFR 1926.602(c)(1)(ii): Modifications or additions which affect the capacity or safe operation of the equipment were made without the manufacturer's written approval: a. On or about February 14, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were exposed to hazards associated with unsafe powered industrial vehicle operations while lifting a roof truss by the direct placement of rigging equipment (i.e., synthetic sling) onto the tine of a TEREX TH844C Telehandler for a below-the-tines lift, which could affect the capacity and/or safe operation of the equipment. The employer did not receive written approval from the manufacturer of the equipment before using the sling.
