29 CFR 1910.147(a)(2)(ii)(B): An employee is required to place any part of his or her body into an area on a machine or piece of equipment where work is actually performed upon the material being processed (point of operation) or where an associated danger zone exists during a machine operating cycle. (a) Chipper machine platform - On or about March 25, 2025, the employees are required to un-jamb logs that are fed into the chipper machine by a conveyor belt while the chipping machine's blades are still running. The conveyor belt is still trying to push the logs into the chipper machine, exposing employees to amputation hazards.
