29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):"Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Jobsite located at 950 Marlborough St, Philadelphia, PA - On or about September 2, 2025 the employer did not ensure employees engaged in commercial demolition activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were protected guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. An employee was performing demolition work on top of the building without the use of fall protection, thereby exposing employees to falls of approximately 20 feet. Mangual Demolition, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1542996, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 21, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 5139 Wayne Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144 Mangual Demolition, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1622447, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 13, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1246 N 27th St, Philadelphia, PA 19121
