Final narrative
An employee backed a garbage truck into an alley, stopped the truck, and got out. While the truck was dumping, he realized it was slowly going backward, and he tried to get to the door. His left hand was trapped and scraped between the door and the brick wall of a building, and the little finger was amputated. The incident occurred during a training activity.
