An employee was operating a pipe threading machine and threading a 6-inch conduit pipe on the machine. The clamp that holds the threader on the machine came loose while he was releasing the pipe, causing the pipe to pop back and strike him in the stomach. The employee was hospitalized with blunt force trauma to the stomach.
